Recording Studio
At TrackWriters we have a small but very well equipped studio and we are more than happy to accommodate bands and solo artists here.
For live mic recording we specialise in singer/songwriters. Why not come and record your acoustic tunes here and let us add some tasteful strings, horns and drums?
Midi Programming
This is the service TrackWriters really specialise in. We think we may have spotted a hole in the market here. We give aspiring composers the chance to hear and
own audio versions of their scores without the expense and logistical problems of paying to have them recorded by a real orchestra.
Send us an email to dan@trackwriters.com and attach a copy of your manuscript or post it to us at 57b, Gayford Road, London, W12 9BY and we will program all the parts with breathtaking realism. This is a great service not to be missed!
You get to listen to the peice as it's being built so you can tell us what you think and whether you're happy with it.
Once we are finished your score and you are completely happy you will receive a fully mastered copy on CD.
Production
One of the best parts about running a studio is helping people with their music production. We love it when customers bring us a fresh new song to play with! Production is basically coming up with ideas about how a song should sound when it's recorded, from the drum sounds to the structure to the harmonies and sound effects. It's one of the best parts of recording.
Every song, from the most simple piano or guitar based tunes to full orchestral film sound tracks need producing to make them sound their best and we take pride in our high production values.
Mixing / Re-Mixing
Most professional companies use Macs and Pro Tools these days but of course, a vast majority of people trying to make it in the music business are using
different versions of Steinberg’s Cubase which is why we use Nuendo 3 here. Because Nuendo 3 is made by Steinberg, all your Cubase mixes can be easily
opened up here with all your settings and even any plug-ins that you would like to keep. For mixing and re-mixing all you have to do is send us the project
folder including all the audio files used on a disk so that we can open it up and get cracking.
The great thing is that when we mix it we can keep you updated
and email you versions of the mix when we think we’re finished and if you think there’s more we can do, you don’t have to pay a penny until you’re entirely
satisfied with our job.
Mastering
The final step in the production of a great song is mastering, where we take your recorded song and spend time carefully making it sound louder, sharper, wider, bigger and more beautifully shiny than it ever would without it. As with mixing, we will make sure you get copies of the tracks to listen to and you don’t owe us anything until you are happy with the results. If we’re recording or writing a song for you, mastering comes free!
Voiceovers
It's easy and fast to record your voiceovers at TrackWriters. We have all the tools and software here to make your voiceover and your voice sound great. We also edit voiceovers together so if you have already recorded your speech but need the professionals to edit it seamlessley together then give us a call.
Vocal Production
We do cover vocal production in our production package but some customers dont need an entire song producing. One of the hardest things to do as a project studio recording engineer is to successfully produce your own voice. It's very difficult to tell with your own voice what needs doing with it since it's a voice you hear every day. It often sounds a lot better if someone else does it for you.
In our vocal production service we cover arrangements, harmonies, pitching, pronunciation and EQ.
Lyrics
If you are primarily a songwriter or composer and need lyrics written to order, or if you're just not sure about some lyrics you have already written, we can help. Our resident lyricist, Daniel Dyde, has written hundreds of songs over the past ten years and lyrics are his specialty. To read sone of Daniel's lyrics click here.
Cover Versions/Backing Tracks
One of our most popular packages is our covers service. Some customers want backing tracks recorded to gig with, others need musical theatre music with themselves singing for college portfolios, and some want to give their version of a song to someone as a present.
The youngest singers we recorded were two sisters aged ten and eight who sang 'Close To You' by The Carpenters as a present for a friend.
Film Score
